VARVE DATA In this folder are the varve records used in the associated paper on the NAVC. A separate PDF shows the position and range of all varve records that have been matched to the NAVC in New England and New York State in the form of a time-distance plot. The records that have not been used in this paper are available on the North American Varve Project web site (see Ridge, 2012 reference in paper) All records are given with NAVC varve year numbers of the revised chronology. Below is a listing of all the varve records given here. The "AM" on a file name indicates that the record is in NAVC varve years. Numbers indicate the approximate NAVC (AM) varve year range covered in hundreds of years. The full range of correlated varve records that make up the NAVC runs from AM 2700 to AM 8358. Antevs' records are all given with NAVC varve yr and total varve thickness (cm) as digitized and calibrated from paper records in Antevs (1922, 1928) by Jack Ridge.
